Red butte garden got its start as the state arboretum in 1961 and it has continued to grow and develop ever since.

We are located in the foothills of the wasatch mountain range which is a natural habitat for many wild animals such as deer coyotes bobcats squirrels rabbits raccoons snakes and birds. Red butte was a fun place built into a hillside with beautiful views.
